Rica Peralejo

Rica Peralejo was born on March 7, 1980 and started her career in show business as a young child actress in ABS-CBN’s youth-oriented-variety show “Ang TV”. Rica shortly took a plunge on teen-oriented shows like GMA’s “T.G.I.S.” as well as ABS CBN’s “Gimik”. As she began to mature into being a young adult, she began to expand her popularity by occasionally changing to diverse movie genres. Rica found herself immersed in comedy movies such as “Banyo Queen” along with the famous rapper Andrew E. She also tried action films like “Ex-Con (movie)”. Rica then pursued roles in “sexy” films with the likes of “Balahibong Pusa”. Being a versatile actress, she also became famous for her portrayal in horror films which included “Malikmata’. Movies similar to these gave Rica the title: “Horror Queen” and “Scream Queen” by the Philippine media. One of her best performances was her latest horror movie entitled: “Matakot Ka Sa Karma” which became a part of the 2006 Metro Manila Film Festival.
